Joanne joined E3 in early 2023 having previously completed a degree in Natural Sciences whilst working full time within the public sector. During her studies she gained extensive skills and knowledge in field survey techniques , species identification, ecological dynamics, conservation and environmental management systems as well as completing a dissertation on the effects of water pollution on aquatic invertebrate populations. Joanne has several years’ experience of nocturnal bat surveys and has undertaken numerous preliminary bat roost assessments as well as Primary Ecological Appraisals/ Ecological Impact Assessments and BNG assessments. Joanne has completed extensive in house training with E3 and has developed skills and knowledge in botany, QGIS, watercourse surveys, e-DNA and protected species.
Prior to ecological consultancy Joanne worked in the public sector for many years and has gained extensive management and administration experience and is responsible for the smooth running of business accounts and HR.
Joanne volunteers with the Bat Conservation Trust and enjoys rehabilitating and caring for bats.
