Sam joined E3 in June 2023 with 6 years’ experience as an ecologist, previously working for both small and corporate companies. During this time, Sam gained experience surveying a range of species and habitats for both public and private sector clients. This provided opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects across England, ranging from small scale private landowner developments to national infrastructure. Sam is an Associate member of CIEEM and holds class 1 licences for bats and great crested newt.
Prior to ecological consultancy, Sam obtained a BSc (Hons) in Conservation Biology from the University of Cumbria. Whilst at university, Sam was a primate research assistant in Peninsular Malaysia for her placement year and volunteered for smaller conservation charities/groups within the UK.
