Lizzie joined E3 in May 2022 having previously completed a degree in Biology (Ecology and Conservation) at Newcastle University where she gained skills and experience of bird, mammal and plant identification. She has previously undertaken research projects examining the effects of global warming on the distribution of puffins in the north of England, distribution of crabs on remote Scottish islands and completed 6 months of research on bee behaviour. Prior to joining E3 Lizzie worked for a government department focusing on protecting the natural environment.

Since joining E3 Lizzie has focused on biodiversity net gain assessments, completing extensive in house and external training. She has also undertaken numerous preliminary bat roost assessments and nocturnal surveys. Lizzie has also completed otter, badger, great crested newt and bird surveys as well as ecological appraisals across the north of England.
