Sam joined E3 in 2023 and has worked in ecology since 2017, bringing experience from both small and multidisciplinary companies. During this time, Sam has surveyed a range of species and habitats for both public and private sector clients. This provided opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects across England, ranging from small scale private landowner developments to national infrastructure. Sam is an Associate member of CIEEM and holds a Level 1 class licence for great crested newt and a Level 2 class licence for bats.

Prior to ecological consultancy, Sam obtained a BSc (Hons) in Conservation Biology from the University of Cumbria. Whilst at university, Sam was a primate research assistant in Peninsular Malaysia for her placement year and volunteered for smaller conservation charities/groups within the UK.
