Abbie joined E3 Ecology in 2025 following the completion of her BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from Newcastle University, where she developed a strong foundation in environmental impact assessments, biodiversity net gain assessments, and ecological monitoring techniques. During her studies, Abbie contributed to a variety of fieldwork projects, including large-scale rewilding initiatives and the creation of management plans for a nature reserve and a National Trust estate. She also gained experience in intertidal and rocky shore fieldwork, with her final research project investigating the 2021 Marine Mortality Event that impacted the North East coastline.

Prior to joining E3, Abbie gained two seasons of bat surveying experience across the North of England. She also worked on habitat restoration and nature-based solutions projects in a previous job role, where she contributed to saltmarsh, estuarine, upland, and grassland habitat monitoring. This included vegetation surveys, habitat mapping using GIS, and ecological data collection to support biodiversity and carbon sequestration objectives. Abbie is particularly passionate about botany, nature recovery, and sustainable land management, and is keen to continue developing her expertise in ecological consultancy.
