Dr Tony Martin MLI MCIEEM

Dr Tony Martin has nearly 30 years’ experience of providing specialist ecological input into multi-disciplinary assessment, design and management teams. He has particular experience at working creatively with landscape architects, planners and engineers, having worked alongside them for over 20 years. In 2002 he established E3 Ecology Ltd as a specialist ecological consultancy.

An experienced expert witness, Tony has particular knowledge of protected species, the planning and environmental assessment process and DEFRA/Scottish Executive and Natural England licences for development work and is a registered consultant for low impact bat licences.

He has a specialist knowledge of bat survey and conservation and has also provided call on ecological advice to English Nature, (now Natural England) Northumbria region, the Scottish Executive and the Heritage Lottery Fund.  Tony manages a small farm trialling habitat creation, management and sustainable drainage ideas and a wetland and mire SAC.
